Open to Alabama AND Out-of-State Teams

Huntsville – June 9, 2018

Who:

U12 co-ed flag, JV co-ed flag, JV boys tackle, U19 boys tackle, College Men’s, College Women’s, Men’s, and Women’s Teams were invited.
Eligibility Information: EVERYONE who plays in our tournament (even youth) MUST be CIPP complaint with USA Rugby. There are no exceptions to this rule. Motley teams are more than welcome, but they must still be CIPP complaint. This means they have a USA Rugby Membership ID. They will need to know this ID number.

Friday, June 8, 2018
Von Braun Center – Downtown Huntsville, AL
(Free admission for ALL attendees, not just athletes)

3 PM – Gates open for Alabama State Games Fan Fair
Food, product vendors, music, Olympic Day giveaways, fun activities, athlete t-shirt pick up and more.

5 PM – Athlete Leadership Summit (all attendees welcome)
For athletes, coaches, parents, spectators and volunteers to hear a keynote speaker to learn the importance of academic excellence, good citizenship, responsibility, leadership and the concept of community.

6-6:45 PM – Parade of Athletes line up for Opening Ceremony Show

7 PM – Opening Ceremony Show begins

    • yes
  3. Will restroom facilities be available on site?
    • yes
  4. Will tournament t-shirts be for sale?
    • Alabama State Games t-shirts can be picked up free of charge on Friday, June 8 at the Opening Ceremony from 3:00 PM – 6:30 PM, held at the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville. For details see the opening ceremony page https://www.asffoundation.org/opening-ceremony . Status of potential items for sale is to be determined.
  5. When is the deadline for registering a team?
    • As of 1/26/18 the cut off date is 5/28/18 but please register now.
  6. Why are there not more brackets for female teams?
    • We would love to add brackets for U15 and U19 females. If you are interested in entering a female team in one of those age groups please contact the tournament director listed below, thanks.
  7. Will there be a social afterwards?
    • For the youth teams no. For the men’s and women’s teams stay tuned.
